This friendly and wonderful couple’s civil ceremony took place at the extraordinary Syon House in London. A historical property that has truly seen many different events across its history in the city; including weddings, proposals and even film work for hit series and movies. How could one not be excited to support this lovely couple in a location to match their beauty?
Alongside the excellent setting, family and friends gave a warm welcome to the couple’s event dressed in their finest and most stunning attire. Once again, the event was filled with all manner of emotion and gave me the opportunity to take photos that could show Terrie and Rahul just how amazing they and their family were on that special day.
My journey has only just begun with this couple’s photography requirements. After a most beautiful civil wedding, I can’t wait to be a part of their Indian wedding at the Hilton hotel Ages Bowl cricket ground in Southampton.

Gurpreet & Harnake Sikh Wedding Photographer In Southampton
It’s always a pleasure helping out others with Asian wedding photography. That’s certainly what I was able to do for Gurpreet and her husband Harnake. After meeting the couple three years ago, I was honoured to take the position as professional Sikh wedding photographer in Southampton for their special day.

After meeting the couple three years ago, I was honoured to take the position as professional Sikh wedding photographer in Southampton for their special day.
Over the years my company Photos by Abhi have been able to take photographs in many different locations. On this particular day the space was a luxury setting of sun; complete with the sea and sand surrounding the Southampton city - a warm welcome that was perfect alongside the joy and laughter.
As with each wedding photography project requested, this was my next piece of art to present to a lovely couple; another opportunity for me to capture the beauty and tradition of such a wonderful occasion. The colourful dresses, smart suits and ever so glamorous wedding attire for each attendee was indeed a grand sight to see.
I take pride in my work and only aim for the highest of standards when it comes to photographing beautiful wedding couples and locations. Here the couple committed themselves to each other at the great Singh Sabha Gurdwara and celebrated the partnership at the Grand Harbour Hotel.

On 18th February this year, the prestigious Asian Wedding Awards were held for the second consecutive year at the luxurious Sheraton Grand Hotel on London’s famous Park Lane.
On 18th February this year, the prestigious Asian Wedding Awards were held for the second consecutive year at the luxurious Sheraton Grand Hotel on London’s famous Park Lane.
The gala evening was presented this year by Oceanic Consulting in association with Greenleaf Catering & Event Management, and was intended to continue the celebration of the commitment and hard work of those involved in the ever-growing Asian wedding industry in the UK. The foundations were laid at last year’s inaugural event to recognise those within the industry who go the extra mile to ensure that a couple’s Big Day is as special as it can be with Tommy Sandhu and Sheila Gordhan presenting.
The evening showcased and celebrated the finalists’ sheer determination and hard work alongside the personal and commercial achievements of individuals and organisations whose work often goes unrecognised.
The Asian Wedding Awards are one of several award ceremonies run by the leading ethnic promotion and consultation organisation in the country, Oceanic Consulting. As well as being a celebration of the Asian Wedding industry, the event also helps to raise money for charitable causes through the affiliated Oceanic Well.
The Photographer of the Year award was split into three geographical areas – North, Midlands, and South – with the Midlands category going to Photos by Abhi for the second year in a row.
Abhi is, of course, delighted with the result. Following the ceremony, he said, “I wasn't expecting to win Midlands Photographer of the Year for the second time. I am extremely honoured to have not only been nominated but also have won this award. I just wanted to thank Oceanic Consulting for putting on a fantastic award show, which really does display some amazing talent within the Asian wedding industry."
Abhi has also previously won the Wedaward at the International Wedding Photographer Awards for two consecutive years, as well as being a finalist at the Midlands Asian Wedding Awards in 2017.
