As I stepped into the ceremony, I was immediately struck by the traditional outfits that Rupy and Karan were wearing. I began by snapping photos of the intricate design and refined details that made the hotel so mesmerizing. Moving on to Shefali's bridal portraits, I was captivated by her ethereal beauty, resplendent in a stunning Sabyasachi lehenga. As the ceremony unfolded, the love and laughter shared between family members were truly heartwarming and filled the atmosphere with joy. That night, I had the incredible privilege of capturing some of the most unforgettable moments for Abhi and Shefali's families. The atmosphere was electric, filled with raw emotion and heartfelt connection, making it the perfect canvas for me to truly showcase what this amazing family is all about through the lens of my camera. And what I witnessed was nothing short of extraordinary! There was an unmistakable sense of awe in the air, as close friends, including London Mayor Sadiq Khan, actress Nina Wadia, and hotel owner Surinder Arora, joined this joyous celebration of love and life. In one corner, you could spot one of the billionaires Hinduja brothers, watching proudly from a distance, yet immersing himself in the festivities just like any other family member would. It almost felt like being a part of an intimate gathering, where every single attendee reveled in the palpable bond and camaraderie that emanated within the room. To me, that was the essence of true family – and it was an honor to be able to capture it in all its glory.

Charlene and her dad were waiting at the doors for the music to start as the Vicor started the ceremony. It was so nice for the ceremony to be conducted by someone so close to the couple and he did an excellent job.

Ricky and Kiran had their Sikh wedding at the Havelock Road, Gurdwara, followed by a lavish reception at the Novotel Hotel Hammersmith, it truly was an amazing day, filled with emotion, happiness and plenty of dancing! The Sri Guru Singh Sabha Gurdwara in Southall where their wedding took place is a marvel on its own built-in the heart of the Asian community of London.

Ricky and Kiran's extraordinary Sikh wedding ceremony took place in the beautiful Sri Guru Singh Sabha Gurdwara, nestled within London's vibrant Asian community. Their heartfelt Anand Karaj ceremony overflowed with emotion and love, creating an unforgettable atmosphere that nobody in attendance could escape. The joy from the ceremony carried on into the evening at the Novotel Hotel Hammersmith, where friends and family gathered to celebrate the special couple with laughter, love, and, of course, plenty of dancing. The Black and White Pre Shoot - London
Over the years my company Photos by Abhi have been able to take photographs in many different locations. On this particular day, space was a luxury setting of the sun with a mix of wind and rain as we approached mid-October; complete with the River Thames at the Royal Victoria Docks in London. We had the opportunity of Photographing Vik and Cherzanna’s pre-shoot/ proposal shoot.
Over the years my company Photos by Abhi have been able to take photographs in many different locations. On this particular day, space was a luxury setting of the sun with a mix of wind and rain as we approached mid-October; complete with the River Thames at the Royal Victoria Docks in London. We had the opportunity of Photographing Vik and Cherzanna’s pre-shoot/ proposal shoot.
As with each pre-wedding photography project requested, this was my next piece of art to present to a lovely couple; another opportunity for me to capture the beauty and tradition of such a wonderful occasion. The theme of their post-proposal shoot was to take a handful of images near the Sunborn Yacht Hotel.
With this shoot, I wanted to try something a little different and wanted to create a Black and White theme that you don’t see very often, and with less than 5 minutes before the sunset, it was a race against time.
I will be posting images over the coming weeks from Part 1 of their engagement shoot at the Luxury Hill Garden and Pergola, London.

This friendly and wonderful couple’s civil ceremony took place at the extraordinary Syon House in London. A historical property that has truly seen many different events across its history in the city; including weddings, proposals and even film work for hit series and movies. How could one not be excited to support this lovely couple in a location to match their beauty?
Alongside the excellent setting, family and friends gave a warm welcome to the couple’s event dressed in their finest and most stunning attire. Once again, the event was filled with all manner of emotion and gave me the opportunity to take photos that could show Terrie and Rahul just how amazing they and their family were on that special day.
My journey has only just begun with this couple’s photography requirements. After a most beautiful civil wedding, I can’t wait to be a part of their Indian wedding at the Hilton hotel Ages Bowl cricket ground in Southampton.

It’s always a pleasure helping out others with Asian wedding photography. That’s certainly what I was able to do for Gurpreet and her husband Harnake. After meeting the couple three years ago, I was honoured to take the position as professional Sikh wedding photographer in Southampton for their special day.

After meeting the couple three years ago, I was honoured to take the position as professional Sikh wedding photographer in Southampton for their special day.
Over the years my company Photos by Abhi have been able to take photographs in many different locations. On this particular day the space was a luxury setting of sun; complete with the sea and sand surrounding the Southampton city - a warm welcome that was perfect alongside the joy and laughter.
As with each wedding photography project requested, this was my next piece of art to present to a lovely couple; another opportunity for me to capture the beauty and tradition of such a wonderful occasion. The colourful dresses, smart suits and ever so glamorous wedding attire for each attendee was indeed a grand sight to see.
I take pride in my work and only aim for the highest of standards when it comes to photographing beautiful wedding couples and locations. Here the couple committed themselves to each other at the great Singh Sabha Gurdwara and celebrated the partnership at the Grand Harbour Hotel.

On 18th February this year, the prestigious Asian Wedding Awards were held for the second consecutive year at the luxurious Sheraton Grand Hotel on London’s famous Park Lane.
On 18th February this year, the prestigious Asian Wedding Awards were held for the second consecutive year at the luxurious Sheraton Grand Hotel on London’s famous Park Lane.
The gala evening was presented this year by Oceanic Consulting in association with Greenleaf Catering & Event Management, and was intended to continue the celebration of the commitment and hard work of those involved in the ever-growing Asian wedding industry in the UK. The foundations were laid at last year’s inaugural event to recognise those within the industry who go the extra mile to ensure that a couple’s Big Day is as special as it can be with Tommy Sandhu and Sheila Gordhan presenting.
The evening showcased and celebrated the finalists’ sheer determination and hard work alongside the personal and commercial achievements of individuals and organisations whose work often goes unrecognised.
The Asian Wedding Awards are one of several award ceremonies run by the leading ethnic promotion and consultation organisation in the country, Oceanic Consulting. As well as being a celebration of the Asian Wedding industry, the event also helps to raise money for charitable causes through the affiliated Oceanic Well.
The Photographer of the Year award was split into three geographical areas – North, Midlands, and South – with the Midlands category going to Photos by Abhi for the second year in a row.
Abhi is, of course, delighted with the result. Following the ceremony, he said, “I wasn't expecting to win Midlands Photographer of the Year for the second time. I am extremely honoured to have not only been nominated but also have won this award. I just wanted to thank Oceanic Consulting for putting on a fantastic award show, which really does display some amazing talent within the Asian wedding industry."
Abhi has also previously won the Wedaward at the International Wedding Photographer Awards for two consecutive years, as well as being a finalist at the Midlands Asian Wedding Awards in 2017.

I had a fab time photographing Noreen's Muslim wedding at Stoke Newington Town Hall - London. It’s a fantastic, historic building set in a very cool part of London. And then there’s the Made in Chelsea look and feel to the surrounding areas which made it a joy to photograph.

Raj & Gurd’s Venice Italy Engagement Photos
I am so excited to photograph Raj & Gurd's Big Fat Indian Hardcore Punjabi wedding this year!! I absolutely love photographing couples that I know some of my very good friends, and these two absolutely fit in the bill. For their engagement photography, we decided all to ventured over to the Venice, Italy for part 1 and finished of part 2 of their Pre wedding shoot in Birmingham UK.
I am so excited to photograph Raj & Gurd's Big Fat Indian Hardcore Punjabi wedding this year!! I absolutely love photographing couples that I know and these two absolutely fit the bill. For their engagement photography, we decided all to venture over to Venice, Italy for part 1 and finished of part 2 of their Pre wedding shoot in Birmingham UK. These two love being active, taking walks and exploring the city together; so I knew I had to incorporate some of their favourite spots in our photo shoot together. They laughed, danced and cuddled their way through the entire session joking about how annoyed their friends get with how adorably cute they are, so needless to say they made my job easy! Even with two days down pour that we experienced whilst being in Venice, Italy. Despite the rain that we experienced, we actually got a nice clear dry day in the UK to finish of part 2 of their pre engagement photo shoot.

Gurpreet and Nicks Birmingham Pre-wedding shoot
So it’s goodbye winter and welcome to colour in Birmingham! However that wasn't the case with Gurpreet and Nick's Pre-wedding shoot as the rain and wind played havoc all day. However with Gurpreet and Nick they braved the last of the winter elements and helped me produce some stunning images.

We started our day by the stunning Birmingham library based on Broad Street with it's modern contemporary art look, following the canal just off Brindley place and finally finishing off the shoot at the quirky Custard factory.
